How important is the room to most of you who have already cruised? I can save DVC points by booking two cat. 10s that connect instead of one cat. 4, since we have 3 kids. This may be our only cruise--I know a lot of people say that, but I am really twisting DH's arm to go in July 2003. Should we go with the cat. 4 and be in one room or get connecting cat. 10s?
Also,we can't book until 11 months out--will connecting 10s still be available? If they don't connect that option is out.

We've booked Cat 4 twice now because of the verandah. I know some have said the connecting rooms would be nice because of the extra bathrooms. Maybe when our 3 girls are older, this will be our only option!!!:p We all like the option of walking outside and getting some of that fresh air and looking out at the ocean in the privacy of our cabin. We seemed to always have that door open - it was just so serene. We've booked the Cat. 4 at 11 months out (East. & West.) and haven't had a problem - can't say the same for the connecting 10's though - hopefully, someone with experience can help.

I booked 2 connecting category 10 cabins at the end of March for the Nov 16th eastern cruise through DU without any problems of availability. I too have 3 kids and this seemed to be the right choice for us. I don't anticipate spending alot of time in our cabins. I don't know if going during a non peak time makes a difference as to how quick the cabins are taken.

if u can get connecting cat 10"s on deck 5 i would say go for it
thay have a porthole even though they r sold as deluxe inside state rooms

with 3 kids cat 10 2 rooms

We have cruised twice in Cat 4. This October we are getting connecting rooms. My girls are very excited at the thought of their OWN room. We are equally excited that we have our own room! The verandah is very nice, but we only used late at night or early in the morning when the kids were asleep, and then we had to climb over the bed to get out! I would book the connecting rooms and save the points. I also squeak every little trip out of our Vaca points! Have a wonderful cruise, Hubby will love it!

We booked 2 category 11 rooms (not connecting) side by side though. I wanted to save points and thought 2 bathrooms would be nice. We have 2 teens and my DH gets up early. The 3 girls will be in 1 room and DH and DS will be in the other. DH snores so, I am getting the better end of this deal! I think it will work out fine. We don't plan on being in the room much. We are going on the 4 day. I'll let ya know when we get back if I would do it again like this or not! I hope to be able too see a category 4 room and compare what we "could" have had!
