Cat 3 Suite, 2006!

I'm so excited, I just have to share. While we were on board a few weeks ago, we had Donna fax inventory control to reserve a suite for March 18, 2006. This morning, thanks to the DIS, I saw that DCL was taking reservations (finally!) for 2006 so I gave them a call. WE GOT THE SUITE!

I'm especially excited because it will be our daughter's junior year spring break. Senior year she has a class trip, so it may be one of our last family vacations sad: ) before she leaves for college. This will make it soooo special!

Anyway, we are booked in suite 8532. Any info/pictures are greatly appreciated. Planning (for me) is half the fun!

I can't believe I'm this happy about spending SOOOO much money! But hey, DCL did give us the $200 onboard rebooking credit, which I didn't expect, and I do have a year and a half to save up!

I called right away this morning to reserve for 3/25/06 and was told all Cat 3 were booked - with Fax in requests. Oh well - she gave me the price and we decided we wanted two Cat 6 adjoining rooms instead - since it is cheaper for almost the same amount of room. I think it will be easier for us - each kid can have their own real bed.

I just sent an e-mail to my DU agent. I'm one of the ones who faxed in an inventory request. Mine is for Christmas of 2006. Of course now that my kids are becoming cruise experts, they've decided that they want to do the Western excursion. Does anyone know if the 12/23/06 is Eastern or Western? The dates are not on the Disney cruise website yet. I may end up having to change to the week before or week after instead. If this comes through, that will be 3 Disney trips that I have in the planning stages

Tonyspad--Our rate is just over $8000 for our family of four. No doubt that is a very expensive cruise, but we plan to really enjoy all of the amenities of the suite. Once it is paid for, I'll just do my best to forget about the money and ENJOY the special vacation.

That's a great rate - They quoted me $9212 for our family of 4 in Cat 3. But my kids will be 14 & 10.

Dates are only opened through December 9 so DCL can work out the holiday schedule. HTH

Thanks Lisa, my DU agent sent me an e-mail with that info. Oh well, just got too excited I guess. Based on that "special" western itinerary, I can't even figure out what the 12/23 will be. As to the cost, I figured $10,000 for our family of 5, but I guess it will be a little bit longer until I know for sure.

You will love 8532. There are 4 Cat. 3 suites that have a different layout than the others. This is one of them. The pull down bed is in the living room instead of the bedroom and you have a triple wide verandah instead of the double wide the other Cat. 3 get. You can get a great look at this cabin on the Disney Cruise free DVD. You have to manuever a little to find it but go to Deck 8 then it will let you see a Cat. 3 and the one they show is one of the larger ones We are in one of the larger ones on our upcoming Nov. 6th cruise. Don't forget you also get concierge which includes an extensive room service menu which only the Cat. 1, 2 and 3 are privy to. You can order a full hot breakfast and you can order dinner off any menu. Very Nice. You also have the concierge team make all of your spa, Palo, and other ressies. I can hardly wait myself. Have a great time.

We got Category 3 for February 11,2006. We have done 8080 3 times before, but this time were able to get 8534. I'm soooooo excited!!!!!! I need to add a new countdown clock!!!!!!

Anyone else have pictures of the suites? I'd love to hear your experiences....good and bad. Thanks.
