We returned last weekend from a cruise on Wonder and stayed in a Cat. 3. When searching info. before our cruise there were questions from myself (and others) about concierge services, worth the $$??? not worth the $$$??? so I thought I would offer my opinion and details of the services and the stateroom. Last year we did the 4 night but had 2 cat. 6 rooms so I feel I can compare. First of all, if money is a BIG issue in planning your cruise then the cat. 3 probably is not worth the difference to you.
We loved the cabin and the few extra "perks" and are sailing on Magic in June in a cat. 3. When we arrived at the port (a bit later than I wanted) The line was back to the escalator. We went right to the front of the line to the right and were allowed to board before any of the passengers waiting in line. We were told to arrive at Cadallic Lounge (?) between 1:00 or 1:30 till 3:30 and meet the staff and ask for any ressies we wanted. (Which were all granted) They had refreshments and crayons/papers for the kids to eat/play with while we were deciding what we wanted. There was a rep. from the spa to answer questions and a rep. from the childrens programs to sign up etc... So absolutely no standing in any line. Our stateroom was very spacious and nice, there were 6 cans of soda in the room and a fruit tray when we arrived. During the cruise they brought a dessert tray and at the end they brought a book about the Magic. We had 2 TV's, 2 bathrooms (with a place to sit for make-up/hair etc...) A double size verandah, bath robes and slippers. The staff came by each day and checked in, brought us personal iteneries (sp?) etc... I may be missing a couple of things but the answer is that if money is a BIG factor in your vacation then this category probably isn't gonna make you happy but if you just like that little extra then "go for it" cause it was really fun!!!!!!!! We are on Magic June 1st and can't wait. (Sorry this was extremely long)

hello we are in cat 3 on 4/27 just a few questions who told you about cadillac lounge is that at the port. alot of people here are saying that i will be waiting in line all the rest sounds so good can not wait:bounce: thank you.

tony3331,
There were no lines for us to wait in after we did our initial paper work check-in. We were returning cruisers so we got into that line and there were no people there. As I mentioned we were a little late getting to port, maybe 12:15 or so (I can't remember) but the line to board the ship was definately long already. Thru all the ques and all the way back to the escalators. We were told to go to the front right in front of the doors and were allowed to board as soon as the doors opened. (before any of the line was allowed to enter) They gave us all info. at the port when we checked in. A sheet that told us were and when to meet to get ressies, so absolutely no scramble for any of that at all. We are sailing again in June and will intentionally get to the port around 12:00 or 12:15. Any other questions please ask.
