The brochure and fine print are pretty vague on this issue so here goes. The Cat 1 and 2 suites can hold up to 7 people, what are the charges per person after the second? For Example if I book a Cat 4 room and it is me, wife and two kids, My wife and I get charged the regular room rate and my kids are charged based on their age. Doe the 3rd/4th/5th person rate apply to the potential 6th/7th person for the suite? TIA for any light you can shed

When cruising in the Roy Disney Suite in July of this year, they quoted $1,300 to add a third person to the room. Hope this helps.

The charges for the additional people are based on the ages of the people and the time of year. However, they are nowhere near as high as for the first 2 people.

DCL hedged about giving me a figure since we were talking about 4 years in the future, but did assure me that it was "much less" than the cost of the first 2. I talked to a family in Cat 1, and they said that after the first 2, it was "not bad at all." They were just regular people--we share the same profession. They travelled with 2 parents, 3 kids and a nanny and felt that only the parent rates were high.

We are cruising in about a month on a 4-dayer (2 adults, and 18 and 14 y/o boys), originally booked in a Cat 3 while on a waiting list for a Cat 2. Couple of weeks ago a Cat 2 became available, and if I wanted it I had to pay an additional $1,400.00 right then. Ouch....but we had wanted the 2 bedroom, so the pain comes with the gain. Apparently nearly all of their bookings are selling or have already sold out, and there is a pretty steep jump from a one to a two bedroom. If you are looking to upgrade, call and get the exact cost, and then keep calling DCL to see if the Cat you want has become available. THEY won't necessarily call you. Hope this helps....

How funny what some people think is "regular". Most of the "regular" people I know don't have a nanny! Hee Hee!

So if I had a family of 5 and 2 In Laws what would a Cat 2 cost us? I'm interested also!

Again, depending on time of year and availability, 7 people in a Cat 2 would run from $6,800 to $9,000 at a guess.....and that's for the 4 day cruise.

I guess the other thing I am trying to explore is how much more expensive would it be to have 4 adults and 2 kids stay in a Cat 2 suite versus booking two Cat 4 rooms
