My daughter wants to be married at Seebreeze Point in April 2008. Her groom would really not like to wear the tux. She still wants to wear the traditional brides & brides maids dresses. Any ideas?

How about a nice dark suit or a light linen suit? Has he seen the zoot suits offered by some formalwear rental companies? They look very sharp and not at all fussy. Check out HappyLaLaGirl's trip report for pictures of her zoot-suit-ed groom and his attendants! :thumbsup2

DH wore a pin-stripe suit to our wedding (photo in my siggy). Granted, I wore a more casual wedding dress (no train or bustle or what have you), but I think a suit could match any level wedding, depending on the style. Good luck!

What about the tan suit with the white shirt underneath... I saw a wedding on the beach in Mexico the guy had the tan suit- the girl wore a beautiful wedding dress and the girls still wore bridesmaid dresses, but the groomsmen just wore khaki's and a white t-shirt-- i thought it looked really good!

You can kind of see it here in this photo I took (haha-- i had to take photos it was so pretty!)

I did not want DH in a tux, he would have worn whatever I wanted, but I didn't like the look of a tux, so we got him a charcoal grey suit (his only suit and he wears it for all formal events!) with an ivory shirt (my gown was ivory) and a burgundy tie (our wedding colors were ivory and burgundy). He looked great and we've gotten a lot of use out of that suit!

I am going with something really casual. My DF is wearing a white button-down collared shirt and khaki's. He overheats easily and doesn't like suits so I wanted him to be comfortable. I am wearing a typical wedding dress without the train. We are getting married at SBP as well.

This is almost exactly what we are doing too - white shirt, mocha coloured dress pants, traditional dress for me, with a really small train only. Seabreeze Point. I think it will look great!

I'm going to be in a pretty casual dress myself and my DF is going to wear a suit.. he was thinking maybe black pinstripe (I'm not so sure about that - I'm thinking black or dark grey) and an ivory shirt (my dress is ivory). I think casual can still look really sharp and nice and not necessarily sloppy you know?

good luck!
