Castle ?

Is the tarp down for good? Or will they be covering it again before the official start of the 60th anniversary? We're planning a WDW trip with the grand kids, but would really rather go to DLR. Our trip is the week of May 11th. I know it's before the 60th celebration starts, but I'm ok with that if the castle is uncovered. I will not take the kids for their 1st trip with the castle covered. If it is, we'll go to Florida.

Maybe, maybe not. They only repainted it. They have yet to apply the 60th anniversary decorations. That may or may not require hiding the castle again.

It's hard to say. But, they don't tarp the castle when they put up the Christmas decorations each year, so it seems possible that they could add the anniversary decorations without the tarp. However, if they plan on doing a big reveal, then they might go for the tarp for dramatic effect. Who knows!?

That's very time consuming and costly to put scaffolding up and take it down so my gut feeling is that that they won't have to hide the castle for the rest of the decorating to happen......as the OP has said they do not tarp the castle when they decorate it for Christmas so I would the same would happen for the 6oth.

Let's hope so.

I doubt there will be a "big reveal" for the decorations either. There wasn't one for the 50th, and those changes seemed far more dramatic than what is shown in the 60th concept art.
