Castle with mirror and new stage pictures

I took pictures today when I returned from my business trip. They are in the Castle with mirror album.

The stage is newly refurbished also. The crane is gone and you can use all walkways around the castle.

I saw the other pictures and think the latest addition looks better in person than it does in the pictures.

It is GORGEOUS! I think it should stay that way. Love the detailing with Flounder, Simba and the Cheshire cat. Can't wait to see it up close. The stage is quite beautiful, too!

safetymom - I am loving all of these updated pictures you have been giving us! Thank you! Although, I am terribly jealous of how often you are able to just waltz (sp?) into the MK!

Is it just me, or does the mirror somehow make the castle look a little smaller? Don't get me wrong though, I LOVE the new additions. I think it makes the castle look more regal.

zen1 - I believe I read that the castle in the mirror changes every few hours to another castle at one of the other parks. Anybody else have info on that, or did I just dream that one up?

From what I read in Disney Magazine, the "mirror" will change and display all 5 castles from Disney parks around the world throughout the day.

I was gone for a week on a business trip and it was wonderful to go to MK today. It was a beautiful day and it makes me feel good when I go through the turnstiles.

Luv2Travel, the Mirror does kind of make the castle look like it is a little smaller, now that you say that.

I think a lot of the size issues have to do with the fact that the castle makes use of forced perspective. They didn't do that to the mirror, hence it makes the castle look smaller.

It also covers my FAVORITE part of the castle! That front eave with the clock!

Maybe it looks better in person.

Thanks for keeping everyone updated with your pics ....I must agree about the mirror--it seems to be so big and "overpowers" all of the rest of the amazing additions to the castle! I love everything else on the castle...its just that mirror what were they thinking!?

Oh the humanity! Its--Its--so big! Why!? I am very disappointed. We are going in June with a friend who loves Disney and this is her first trip and the castle has to have that big thing stuck on it! What were they thinking?
