Hi anyone know anything about the new castle view rooms at CR.Specifically what would view be like and what is cost for 2 adults. Also what about at GF or POLY what would views be like(farther back I imagine) and again rates for 2 adults. Our dates are oct 24 to nov 8.thanks daveb

My understanding is the only resort you can actually reserve a Castle room view is at CR. At GF or Poly you can reserve a lagoon view but that doesn't always mean a castle view. It is only a request at those two resorts and if there is one available at check in you will probably get it. As for the prices, go to the Disneyworld site and check -- there are many variables including if you are passholders, AAA members, FL or GA residents etc.. Expect the prices to begin around 400 with no discount and a standard (read boring) view.

You can book MK view at the Poly now since the rehab. Still can't at the GF.

Starting in 2007, the GF will also have a MK View room catagory. Looks like the price difference between a lagoon view room and a MK view room will be about $30/night.

PrinceGoofy,

What floor were you on? That is a great picture!

Thanks,
Cindy M.

That must have been an awesome view to watch Wishes. I want to stay there -- what floor were you on?

Maelstrom I'm glad you also posted that NON-telephoto shot like the links I posted so the OP won't be really disappointed if he would expect to have the telephoto view when he books the CR MK view room. Can you imagine expecting that telephoto view when you walk out onto your balcony - I mean, it's quite a view, but you're not right on top of the castle like it looks in the photo! Maybe if you sit on your balcony and keep the camera to your face with the telephoto on the whole time :rotfl:

I know I saw a few telephoto shots posted here before where it looks like you are right at the castle, but when we stayed in the CR tower MK view I had also seen some photos like yours without telephoto so looking at the castle in the distance (and overlooking the parking lots!) didn't shock me as it might someone who expects to have the "telephoto" view when they step out on their balcony

For some reason that's the only one I can find right now. I know I took more. You definetly are not sitting on the doorstep.

The fireworks, though, are still pretty cool from the balcony.

Is this kind of the view from the California Grill? Just wondering.

Only if you take your telephoto lens to the CG with you! :rotfl2:

You'll have the same view as the non-telephoto picture maelstrom has posted - but princegoofy is right, the fireworks are still awesome from the CR Tower, even without a telephoto lens! :goodvibes
