Castle under construction all week?

Sorry if this has been discussed, but my internet time is limited here at the world...

Does anyone know if the crane will be up all week? I can't imagine leaving Disney without a good castle picture -- but the crane was all over today, along with workers. It was hidden over the weekend, but we weren't there during the day...

I asked SEVERAL CMs and none of them knew (actually having a lot of trouble with CMs who don't know anything this trip...)

I know my DIS friends are always on top of things -- anybody know?

From what i've read the crane is still up at park opening but eventually they lower late morning out of view...hope your having a great time

I would expect to see the crane for awhile till the painting is done. They had announced they were going to do this.

We were there last week (during the week) and the crane always went down by early afternoon so you can take full shots of the castle.

Did it not go down this afternoon?

Thanks -- I'll have to try and get over in the afternoon. It's just been too hot and we try to leave the parks for a couple hours in the early afternoon. I think we left MK about 1pm today and the crane was really blocking the castle. We were there at park open and it looked like they were going to put it away, but no such luck.

It really kills the "magic" feel to see it there... Oh well, there's a lot of other good stuff...

Dd will be disappointed to hear this - she was barely 3 our last trip and doesn't really remember much about the castle, now at 8 she is excited about seeing it and taking lots of pics - I hope it doesn't take the magic away while it is "in progress" - we won't be back for a very long time. Where is the crane parked, is it hidden well, or do sections around the castle look under construction.

All you will see is the crane. The machine itself is well hidden as you can see in the pictures. You just see the arm. There is no scaffolding or anything.

The crane is behind the castle on the right side. The ramp on the right side of the castle (the ramp near Belle's Storytime) is blocked off.
