What is the status of Cinderella's Castle. Is there a lot of construction going on? I will be there next week and I want to be prepared. I love walking down Main Street and seeing that Castle!!!! :cool1:

There's a thread somewhere here that shows that almost all of the decor has been removed. There was a crane there last week that was obscured by walls near the back. Right beside Sir Mickeys. Not sure if this is still there or not.

Yup, the crane is still there and will be there for a while. Just about all of the decorations have come down, and the big mirror will be next (within the next week or so).

I enjoyed not only Cinderella's Castle being decorated for the 50th but Sleeping Beauty's as well. They both looked lovely but I have to say I am ready for them to be a bit less showy. Sometimes less is more for me. I'm glad the undecorating doesn't seem to be detracting too much for the folks at WDW at this time. Nothing worse than a tarped castle!

We were there on Thursday. I don't specifically remember a crane, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't there. I do remember there being construction walls still up at the back of the castle. Some of the decorations were still on at the very top, but the rest were gone, except the mirror. I wish that we would have been able to see it all decorated. I liked it that way. Of course, the view from the front of the castle is unobstructed, so you should have a great view from Main Street.

Thanks every one. It doesn't seem too bad! I will be at MK next Thursday.
