Has anyone stayed at the Castle Inn? It is one of the "get 3rd night free" offer. The website says it is across the street from DL. What does that mean?

It is a fairly close motel. The walk from Castle Inn is about 10-12 minutes to the front gates of the parks. I don't have the ariel map available right now but will try to post later. Castle Inn gets medium reviews. Generally it is okay but to the best of my knowledge thet havent remodeled their rooms in quite a while.

Cool view. i was also looking at the PP, Carousel inn and Candy Cane In. I see that the Carousel is the closest but PP and Castle in both have one night free....something to think about now..

I stayed there in May of 2005. It wasnt the best place. The toilet overflowed. The carpet was sticky. The pool was, well, ick. See if you can get a room at the Howard Johnson instead. It was a far superior hotel.

The Castle is the least quality of the ones you listed. The Park Place Inn is a great place and right at the stop light over to the parks but is more expensive. I think the Candy Cane Inn is the nicest of them all.

Sorry, meant Paradise Pier. Looking at the map, PP doesn't look all that close. Is the carousel inn closer to walk to???

The Carousel Inn is a closer walk than Paradise Pier or the Castle Inn. I have heard that it is a decent place to stay.

We stayed there last year in May. It was alright. It definitely needs some updating on the inside for sure, things are pretty warn. We didn't have any malfunctions of any kind and were hardly in the room, but we did have a suite (two rooms, 1 king and two queens and 1 bathroom) with a microwave and fridge that we used. The room was plenty big but the room that my parents ended up in was like a dungeon, waaay back in the corner with no sunlight at all. It's a great price, the walk is not bad at all, but honestly it was our first and probably last time staying there. We'll be staying somewhere else this November (we just haven't made our final decision yet).

Good luck!
