Castle Inn Review?

I got a voucher from my work for Castle Inn. It's a nice little discount, but before I actually went out of my way to use the voucher I was wondering if anyone has every stayed there or heard anything about it? Any feed back would be much appericiated. It's going to be out last Disney trip for a while.

We stayed there in 07. It's alright,parking is decent.Try and stay away from the front.We were on the 4th floor,good sized room but the traffic noise was horrible,and the AC sounded like a garbage disposal.
Kinda long walk at the end of the day.

For some reason, I was excepting DL to have value resorts like WDW. So I looked it up till work told me about the voucher. It makes it a little bit lower than what you'd pay in the area.

Yes, we've been in Tucson for about a year and a half now. Not sure how long we'll be here though. It's okay just really HOT and that's an understatment! We came from 120 in of snow a year to 112 degrees at 10am~!

Fellow Tucsonan here too. I've been here 13 years. Came from Indiana and far prefer it here.

I've stayed at Castle Inn once. I wasn't overly fond of it. It's your basic older hotel that is need of some serious updating, but it wasn't dirty or anything. I agree it's a bit of a walk after a long day in the parks. That said, I would stay there again if I had a huge discount. Probably not without one, though.

We stayed here in Feb, we needed a room for 4 kids and 2 adults so we went with Castle Inn. NEVER again will we stay here, NEVER!!!! The staff in the office was non helpful and went so far as to yell at my DD12 on the phone when she asked a question about WiFi, they gave us 4 towels knowing we were going to have 6 people in the room, we asked for towels 3 times and NEVER received extras. No towels in the pool area either. The room was not clean, floors were dirty/sticky and there were questionable hairs in the bathroom, it was not fun and we won't stay there again.

Oh no that's fine. But thanks for helping me out. I was a little worried about it since it was a pretty nice price and discount compared to the other hotels. I think I'll just suffer with traffic from San Diego and stay with the in laws rather than stay at a hotel.

Stayed here last year in December of 08. Its a nice hotel ,Staff was friendly, good parking, rooms were clean beds were pretty comfortable. We stayed in a two bedroom suite their continental breakfast was pretty decent I thought. The walk from the hotel to DL entrance was about 10 mins. I didn’t think the rates were that great that was the only real thing that I have to rate a negative . We usually stay at the park vue and you can get a two bed room suite for almost 250 dollars less . I hope that helps you out.

Try the Desert Inn and Suites it is right near the DL entrance. So walking. Friendly Staff, good beds, clean room, with suites, and microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, Continental breakfast. We were on the 4th floor and we could see the fireworks!!

And don't forget the Parkvue is alot closer to the park than Castle,, which for us makes a big difference when walking back at night after a long day at the park...
