– Castle Dreamlights! – in Magic Kingdom. Donning their holiday finest, Cinderella and friends take to the Cinderella Castle stage daily for a dream-come-true, light-the-night moment. With 200,000 sparkling, jewel-like crystals adorning the iconic castle, the glistening light-show spectacular signals the beginning of Disney seasonal merriment.

What time of evening does this show start, where characters take the stage and they light the castle dream lights?

Does the show happen every evening?

How long will the stage show last?

When in November will this start to happen?

Please help with these questions, we are trying to figure out what time we can make ADR's after we have seen the show and the castle lights lit up.

Thanks everyone:thumbsup2

When I was there two years ago, castle lighting happened at twilight. Sorry I can't be more help!

The time can be somewhat different, depending on the date.
(And, it changed on different years.)

As the actual dates get closer this year, the information will be posted on this board.

Stay tuned.

How far ahead do you need to get a spot for this show? We were going to try to eat before MVMCP. I thought the castle lighting was just that, lights going on. Is it worth it to get a spot by the castle stage?

It is an under 10 minute show- I want to say the official running time is noted as 7 minutes, but I'm not positive of that. They usually change the time during the season based on when it is getting dark. I want to say it was at 6:30 when we were there in early December, but I wouldn't count on the specific time until WDW posts it.

They do it every night during the holiday season. It is definitely something you want to see. It is beautiful. It is not just flipping a switch. It is a show with the fairly godmother lighting the castle for Cinderella. It does not light up all at once either. There is a progression where it lights up little by little, and with sparkles and pagentry. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy open the show from the castle stage. The Fairy Godmother is on the castle. Cinderella and the Prince come out on the castle stage. I would love to have a spot near the castle stage for it so you could get a good view of the Fairy Godmother and Cinderella, but we never get there that early so we are always further back. We usually walk up about 15 minutes (or even 10) ahead of time, so we are usually quite a ways back from the Castle where we can barely see the characters, but it is still beautiful even from a distance.
