DH and I have never done the Castle for any meal and I was thinking if the dinner food was good we should try it once. Would you go there or pick another restaurant?

Definately go to the Castle. I think everybody should go at least one time. I
have been there many of times for Dinner and love it. Brekfast is good to but I prefer dinner. Have a nice dinner.:)

I would go there but not for the food. The food is very expensive and mediocre but isn't terrible. I still say every Disney fan should eat in there at least once just to say they did it no matter what their age.

Yes, go for it. Wonderful fun to eat in the castle, and we actually liked the food. Our server was excellent and we were not rushed through the meal at all as some people feel during breakfast & lunch. We think dinner at the castle is great for adults who want to eat in the castle because we weren't all that interested in visiting with all the princesses (much less noisy & hectic without characters & little ones running all over.) You get the nice photo package with Cindy before your meal. There is a little character entertainment (mice & fairy godmother) so you're not totally character-short-changed. We liked it well enough to go back next September (we were there in May 2008 with DD & her friend. In the Fall, we'll be taking adult DS & his friend)

As for the food...it was good (our table had the prime rib, the salmon & the pasta dish.) Rating the food: The pasta was very close to so-so. The prime rib was excellent. The salmon was good. We would not pay $50 per person for that meal at another restaurant, but I don't look at it as $50 for the food.

I figure that $50 price is about $25 for the food, and about $25 for the experience of eating in Cinderella's castle, getting a photo, the tip & taxes on the package. So it's not such a bad deal if you really want to eat in the castle...

IMO, the castle itself is the big draw. CRT breakfast was a huge disappointment for me simply because it seems like they really rush you and the hit you up for a super expensive photo package. My young nieces LOVED it, so it was worth the experience.

For adults I would by pass since the food I thought was mediocre at best.

I love the castle meal for just two adults. EVERY time I have had a meal for two adults we have had a window seat overlooking Fantasyland. It is a special meal for us.

I have also taken my mom for lunch and it was equally as nice.

We just ate their for lunch and we liked the food. We ate the Mama pie (shephard's pie) and loved it!

Now I felt rushed. The waiters are just trying to zip you out. We had the kids and the princesses were there and some of them looked frazzled. Like they were just hopping around trying to get to the next table.

I do want to go back for dinner without the kids one time in the near future.

If we go back with the kids it probably won't be the next trip with them but we will do it again with them if DD still loves the princesses.

This is one DW & I have debated a bit - we want to go to experience it, but thought maybe wait until we have kids with us - perhaps one day our own. That said, we always go back to "try it, why not?" as we want to try everything at WDW. Thus I voted go for it - decide for yourself if it is worth it. As a true Disney nut, I am sure you'll love it for the experience even if the food is mediocre.

Yes! The atmosphere is truly magical and worth doing at least once. I prefer the food at lunch, but dinner was good as well.

My family went last year for dinner and really enjoyed it. We were on the Free Dining Plan so we didn't have to pay, but I think you should give it a try at least once!! :goodvibes

I think you should try it at least once, plus, it would help with your plan to eat at every restaurant in the world. :rotfl:
(i'm a fan of your restaurant review reports;))
