Castaway Creek at TL

Yes infact i put my 2.5 y/o in a special tube that i brought and let her float on her own. She loved it.

actually now that i think about it we were in blzzard beach but i would guess that it is the same there.

They have smaller tubes with a bottom in them, so the little ones won't fall out. There are tons of little kids with moms and dads on the lazy river. I've even seen infants with parents. Just make sure the kiddo has sunscreen on since some areas are sunny.

They have "2 holers" at Castaway Creek now where two can ride. My daughter and shared one this week. We haven't made it to Blizzard Beach yet, but in 2003 they didn't have the kind where two could ride.

IF the kid does happen to fall out... how deep is the water on the "creek"? Is it standing up depth or not? Just curious... I was wondering about this very same thing just yesterday, funny that someone posted "my" question for me!! :teeth:

Its about 3 feet deep. Until my daughter was seven or so, it was too deep for her to stand.

Both my boys... then 2 and 5, loved Castaway creek. My husband kept our 2 yr old with him, on his lap..... and my 5 yr old had his own kids tube.

WARNING!>>> Our first time at TL (before we had our kids, in 1990) we LOVED Castaway Creek, that we decided to stay in the tubes...... Needless to say, we paid dearly for our relaxation that night with MASSIVE sunburns. :sunny:  :sad2:
Don't get too Lazy in the Lazy River!

If a child would happen to fall out of the tube, there are several lifeguards along the creek, plus numerous adults in the creek who would probably help get the child up and safe. The water is very clear and you can't help but see the bottom. An adult and most children can stand up in the creek. It's nothing like the lazy river at SAB which is very deep, maybe 6-8 feet deep.
