What do they do (if anything) for Castaway Club members? Do I need to bring the card (which I would need to look for) or just my number?

This trip we are on the 3N 11/4 cruise.

Thanks...

Hi psimon

You don't need the card if you recieved one because DCL knows you are a repeat cruiser.

You will receive your gifts (ie. towel, pins) in your stateroom when you board. There is a Castaway Club reception with drinks and food. You will receive a invitation in your stateroom detailing time and place.

:earsboy: :earsgirl: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Just make sure that DCL has noted on your reservation that you're a repeat guest. That's all it takes.

so what happens if I'm a castaway club member and my husband isn't? Can we both attend the reception? How long does that take?

The invite will actually be in your "mailbox" outside your stateroom. You can also check in at port in a seperate " CC Club member" check in area.....it was all the way left and to the back (towards the ship) when you walk into port. CC Club "get together" was about an hour. They had some "foofy" drinks and finger food. If I remember correct it was around 5:00 p.m. on a sea day.........Monday on out Eastern sailing last year.

... and if you have no sea day because you are on the 3N cruise?

I just booked our second DC and am excited about the goodies...If everyone in my family cruised before do we all get the same goodies or is it just 1 per stateroom like other perks?

Unfortunately, the reception for three day cruise is also held the last day.....

For the 9/30 cruise, it was held at the same time as the children's show where they get the t-shirts and mouse ears...

So no reception for us last time....

This has now been changed. When you walk upstairs, you will see three queues on the left. US Citizens / Castaway Club / Non US Citizens. When I looked at the sign, I thought this entire section was only for CC members, so we went to the US line (I didn't see there was a line in the middle, I thought there were only two lines). However, all CC members go to the middle line, regardless of US or non US. US and CC line wind up next to each other as you approach the end of the queue. There is one CM there who will select the next family to go check in. I think he / she will take CC line first, so that line moves more quickly. We were early enough, so it did not matter we were in the wrong line.

I think Disney noted the comments people were making that many times the CC line was longer than other lines, with all the repeat guests, so they changed their process.
