By "eligible adult in the cabin", you mean anyone 18 or older in the cabin, irregardless of the individual's Castaway status? I haven't done it, but if anyone in a stateroom is Platinum, can't all adults booked in that room get the free Palo meal?

Anyone 18 or older is eligible regardless of CC status as long as there's at least 1 platinum guest in the cabin.

Yes. Ages 18 and older regardless of CC status that are booked in the cabin with a platinum member.

Just an FYI - you may have to take some extra steps to make sure you get the free Palo meal in this circumstance. I am Platinum, DH is not, but we split our family into two rooms where he was in the same room with a child who is platinum. Palo didn’t initially give us the Platinum benefit for him. We had to talk to the manager who explained that DH showed as Gold in the reservation (which he is) and they have to manually adjust it when there is a Platinum child in the room and no Platinum adult.

Sometimes there is a different CC gift based on itinerary. And the gift periodically changes. So the gift in 2015 in the Caribbean was different than the gift in 2018 to Alaska.
