Apparently there's a new gift for Platinum - looks like an insulated bag. We don't sail again until January, so we'll have to wait and see!

That is what I read too
But someone was talking on fantasy I am going on the dream that is why I asked

Right now just platinum bags are new. Gold & silver members were still getting sling bags. We’ll find out on Saturday.

On the fantasy now and we are gold and got the sling bag but I did see the platinum cooler bags being carried by a few cruisers on our excursions. They are a bit larger than they look in the pictures.

Oh those darn sling bags … we gave ours away to our neighbors who were on their first cruise. We have too many and you certainly do not need more than one of those!

We were on the Dream on 5/20. We got the new platinum cooler bag.
We won’t be Platinum until after our British Isles cruise in Sept 2023. Meanwhile, we’ve got three more cruises this year (we’ll be Gold after our HOTHS cruise in October) and three cruises in 2023. I’m fairly certain the sling bags are what Silver AND Gold CC members are getting. We’ll have to hope we have more first time cruisers near us when we sail the next six cruises so we can give ours away! We do NOT need or want six more sling backpacks 🤣

We got the new platinum bag on the fantasy in April. My daughter is gold and got the sling bag.

Didn't you just sail a upper weeks ago and now you are going again? I am so jealous

yes, my husband and I sailed the end of February, but the family had to cancel because of covid. So we jumped on the April 23-30 VGT cruise for them. Lol

but with all these super cheap restricted fares, we now have our September 3-10 cruise, and the family grabbed a OGT rate to join us to make it to their #10 cruise.

and I was super weak and booked the October 29-November 6, 8-night cruise. we are loving all these low prices on the Fantasy. We are not local so its eating away at my dvc points to arrange a day or two before and after.

❤️

And even if one did want it, how many are you going to need? Because you know they are going to keep giving this thing out for the next 10 years or so.

In the end the whole "rewards" program really needs to be reviewed and tweaked to 1) reflect nights on board rather than cruises 2) allow for additional levels to better reward the loyalty of their very frequent cruisers.

Lot's of premium experiences or products onboard that could be part of a rewards program as a thank you. Coupon for free premium coffee (or other drinks)? Dinner at Remy (for those ships with an upscale, upscale dining experience). Some level of Photo Package would be really nice? Heck what would it be worth to get to press the horn once?

Heck I'd be happy with a six pack of water....in the bag.:)

yes, I agree. A discount on parking would be a nice perk for us who drive to the port.

I tried to press the horn button on our bridge tour, I got my hand smacked and was told NO. (it had a lable that said "Mickey Horn"). We were in port and Captain said it would confuse the passenger on shore. They wont let you on the bridge while the ship is moving so all I could get away with was turning the rudder which turned very easy.

Was this pre 9-11?
