castaway cay

I just got off the phone with Disney. I wanted to know if the Oct. 9th magic was going to Castaway Cay. They said no decision has been made yet but the Oct 2nd sailing is going to Nassau instead. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed!!!! I know we'll have fun no matter where we go but I've been to Nassau but never to Castaway Cay.

Why wouldn't they go? Was there that much damage from the second hurrican? I hope we get to go on the Oct. 16th cruise.

It only took them 2 weeks to clean up CC after Frances... You've got a good shot!

I just got an email back from the Cruise Line. They are still assessing the damage and no decision had been made yet for the 10/16 cruise. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will be able to get things cleaned up. I know that's got to be a tremendous task.

I'll be really bummed if we don't get to go to CC. I really wanted to go to Grand Cayman & do the Stingray City thing. Now that is kaput. Second best thing about DCL is CC. I have been before but I will be traveling with some "never on a cruise before" friends and relatives & I really wanted them to experience CC & get hooked also. Now we might not go. Hope they have it back up. I sound selfish, but I've been through 3 hurricanes myself recently and have had many changes related to them & am really looking forward to this trip altered as it may be.

Sailing on 10/9 and still have fingers crossed about CC....

I completely lost hope of going after Frances... got hope back then Jeanne came along and messed everything up again....

Less than a week before departure, cant believe how the last 6 months of planning has FLOWN by!!!

Noooooooooo, tell me it's not true, when i spoke to dcl was told only change was to GC after all i've read on these boards i don't want to go to nassau, i want CC ( can you tell i'm peeved )

This is seriously going to drive me to shingles.

I'm getting married on the Oct 9th cruise and obviously would MUCH prefer to get married on Castaway Cay than onboard.

Ok, just got off the phone with a very nice CM. She said it looks like Castaway Cay is on the itinerary for the Oct 9th cruise.

I think I'm just going to cross my fingers until I get there.
