Castaway Cay "Wild Side" excursion??

Anyone have any teenagers that did the Wild Side excursion of'
kayaking, biking and snorkeling? Just wonder if it's worth it for
them. Thanks

DS did this on our 2001 cruise and really like it. There were a bunch of his friends that he met on the cruise that did the excursion also which made it more fun for him.

13yo DD did it back in November ... snorkeling was first, she isn't a strong swimmer so stayed in the shallower area, and she was miserable because the other teens teased her about not going out to the depper area ... she finally quit 1/2 way through the bike riding and sulked back to the ship.

she did the teen excursion in Nasau and LOVED it

I think the problem with "wild side" is that the other teens she'd made friends with weren't participating in the excursion ... so she was with the other teens she wasn't as familiar with.

I have read on other threads to not book this excursion until on board to see if your teen's other new friends are doing this. If your teen's friends go they will have a blast!

If they have a "buddy" to hang with, this deal is fantastic. Without a friend, it sometimes isn't so great. Go to the "cruise meets" section and see if you can find another family sailing with teens about the age of your's. They can correspond by e-mail before the cruise....

My DD's did it two years ago and had a blast.

We are going on the Magic February 28th and she will do it again but this time with her younger sister who is 13.
