My first trip to CC is soon and it is the only part of my cruise ports I haven't figured out. I have DS 13 and DD10. DS will do the CC 5K then we plan on just chilling on the beach. We are shade people not sun worshippers. Both my kids will spend hours in the water. My questions are where on the island is the best place for us? The water playground the I see in the pictures is it meant for smaller kids? Where is the best place to park the family for the day? Appreciate any insight from those who have been!

I plan on doing Pelican Plunge for the first time this trip. It is a family activivity. Adults all the way down to the young ones that can swim.

After running the 5K, we usually go to the Swimming Lagoon or Family Beach, grab a few chairs, then snorkel for a few hours.

There are plenty of chairs with umbrellas on the Family Beach. :)

Agreed. The family beach is where we go even though we have no kids. Serenity Bay is too quite for us. We "camp out" just close enough to the DJ to hear the music as background noise. Plenty of shade to be had with either palm trees and/or umbrellas. Have fun!!

That's what I was thinking of doing! We are going for our first cruise in may. My son will be just 5 and can't figure out how he can snorkel without being able to swim ;)
