Is there snorkeling at Serenity Beach on Castaway Cay? If so, is there anything to see? Has anyone done it? Would you recommend it? We've snorkeled in the area adjacent to the family beach and weren't overly impressed. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

There is not a snorkling area ropped off like at the family beach.

I have snorkled at the adult beach and enjoyed it. I saw a sea horse, star fish, sand dollars, fish.

The water was shallow and clear. Not to mention a lot quieter than the family beach.

If you swim out straight from the first massage cabana about 50 yards you will find the mentioned wreck. It seems to be in a slight depression and there are more fish there than anywhere else in the area.

Thank you for your responses.

We weren't fond of the family beach area snorkeling because of the water clarity (it was all churned up) while we snorkeled. There weren't many things to see either, a few fish here and there and some items placed there by DCL.

The snorkeling along Serenity Beach sounds a lot better. We are definitely going to try it. I will be trying to locate the plane wreckage now that I know about it. Hopefully we'll see some exotic fish and other sea life.

Any more information you can share will be welcomed. Thanks again.
