Castaway Cay DJ Music

Just got back from the 1/22 Eastern, My First Cruise Ever, and what a way to Start. Start from the Top.

My Question... While on Castaway Cay, about an hour after the DJ Started Playing Music, I realized there wasn't One Song that wasn't GREAT! Has anyone ever Written Down the songs that he plays?? I'd love to Make A CD of that Music. If anyone is going soon maybe they could do that while relaxing on the Beach. It would be a GREAT Addition for the members of the Board.

I was told that on theWestern leaving Today, the "Head of Disney Entertainment" was going to be on Board, and he Demanded nothing but "Island Music" while on Castaway Cay, so they have that to look foreward to. I hear lots of people HATE the Island Music, and just want good regular music, but the Boss gets what he wants I guess.

I'd love nothing better than island music on CC when I go in two weeks. There's only so much of this DJ music I can stand. And I don't think anyone would head back to the boat if they didn't hear "Who Let the Dogs Out" on Castaway Cay.

We we're on the 1/27 Wonder and loved the music on CC as well. I'd buy that CD in a heartbeat.

Have always enjoyed the CC music until the 7-night Western cruise we took last Nov.

Sitting there at Cookies during lunch and the young man began to play rap music. Not just one but one after another. People around us were complaining and we were not enjoying it either. Finally went over to him and asked him to please play island music, Carrib. music, steel drums, calypso, Beach Boys, Harry Bellefonte, etc. etc. He said a lot of people came up to him and really liked the rap. Didn't believe that for a moment. My feeling was he was playing it for himself and his co-workers. At any rate, he stopped the rap (thank heaven) and played music more appropriate to an island setting.

I was on the 1/29 Western and the music on CC was all island music. It was great! Especially since we spent most of our time at Cookies trying to get away from the wind and rain! My daughter loves the DJ music that they play during the deck parties and at the club activities, and I'd love to have a CD of it. The cast member at the store says that they get requests all the time for the music and that a CD is in the works.

From what you are all saying, it's really too bad that DCL doesn't put out a compilation CD of Castaway Cay Island Favorites. I can't wait to hear it for myeslf! Thanks for all the great info!
