Castaway Cay Card

I took a cruise in March and thought I was supposed to get a membership card in the mail. I only ask because one of the cruise sites asked for that number to book another Disney cruise.

My family is wondering about cards as well, although, we were issued numbers but we weren't sure what to do with them. We cruised in 2002 before the Castaway Club existed. When we booked our cruise last month, they said we are now part of the club and gave us each numbers. Just wondering how this whole club actually works!

From the posts I have read, plus my own experience, if you get a Castaway Club card you're in the minority but you can get your Castaway Club number (useful for the DCL website and for giving to DCL when you book your cruise so you will be on the list for a Castaway Club present after you board the ship on your second or more, cruises) by contacting DCL, or having your TA contact them for you, to get the number.

The Castaway Club has been in existance since the Magic started sailing in 1998. Not all cruisers get the cards sent to them, but everyone that cruises had a Castaway Club number. You can call DCL to get your number for your next booking. You will receive a gift in your stateroom and be invited to a cocktail reception onboard.

We sailed on the Maiden Voyage of the Magic back in July 1998 and received cards soon after that, have cruise 12 more times on DCL and never received anything else from them....good luck getting the cards....though they are not necessary....just the number is important!!!
