Me and my DH and 2 DDs (age 16 & 12) are considering doing the banana boat at Castaway Cay. Have never done it and wondered if it was fun and worth it? Can you let me know if the kids will like it.

TBH, I've seen so many CC excursions cancelled every time I've been on the island I don't think I'd ever sign up for any excursion there. Just plan to enjoy the island. Last week when we were there on the Magic, EVERY excursion was cancelled - other cruises it's been at least some (parasailing being the most commonly cancelled) to the majority.

Same here. We have been to CC 5 times and the excursions have been canceled due to high winds and or rough water. I guess it depends what time of year since we go in Feb.

Good point. I cruise in Feb also. The one in July there were some cancelled but not all. Last week it was "ALL EXCURSIONS CANCELLED".

We've been to CC twice, June and Oct. Parasailed both times. OP, I don't have experience with the banana boat, but I think that any excursion at CC would be top notch...

Our kids (ages 12-18) did the banana boat in February. They weren't particularly impressed. The said it was a waste of their money.

We did the banana boat at CC several years ago, like maybe 8 years ago or more. It was so much fun and one of our most talked about memories from that cruise. It was fast, bumpy and 3 of the 4 of us fell off. I believe they discontinued this excursion for several years and I was surprised to see it back in the list.

I have this booked for our upcoming cruise and was wondering about it. It seems like a better value than the 5-7 actual minutes of parasailing and a lot less worry on my part.

As PP have mentioned on our last cruise in May, a double dip, both days most excursions were cancelled.

We also did the BB with our kids years ago at CC. I am also surprised they are now showing that as an excursion again. Still not sure why they discontinued it.

It was fun but much bumpier than you would imagine and the water spray smacks you in the face to the point you can't see well. If you have any back issues don't do it!!!

Just kind of resurrecting this because I got a bad neck injury on it this month. My son and I got knocked off because the water was really rough. In fact, they ended up cancelling all boat activities for the rest of the day because of how bad it was getting. But an example of how hard it knocked me off? the waves ripped my life vest off. I didn't even know that was possible.

I also feel like there's not enough information about what the ride is when you go to sign up.
