My husband has a business. Most of it is conducted on the internet. Is there wi-fi on CC? He will do a lot of his business the next day at Port Canaveral but since there is two days at sea he was hoping to do some at CC before we head home. I know we can purchase internet on the ship and plan to do so but was hoping to just do email while on the ship.

On the ship you can purchase internet time. I don't believe it works on Castaway Cay, though. I may be wrong.

As of last year sometime, ship's WiFi works on Castaway Cay. At least it does in Serenity Bay - I don't know about the family areas. They now have roaming drink servers with the same wireless payment system that they use on board the ship, so that's my theory as to why they put it in. If anyone knows if they now have roaming servers in the other areas, my guess would be that they also have WiFi there. But regardless of reason, DCL-GUEST and all of the other SSID's show up and you can use it with your paid on-board account (or use the free messaging app built into the DCL smartphone app). There is no WiFi on Castaway Cay other than that associated with the ship.

However, there is also 3G wireless that's tied into the same system as in the rest of The Bahamas. So, if you have a cellular data plan with international roaming, you can use that on Castaway Cay at whatever your rate is for The Bahamas, including turning on your phone's hotspot feature to create your own WiFi hotspot for other devices.

Personally, I hope your husband will be able to just forget the internet and business for the one day he'll be at Castaway Cay. Instead, embrace the freedom of the
island with all it has to offer and return to the real world refreshed and ready to go.

I think you might be asking about free wifi as you might find in other ports like at Starbucks or so? Ultimately, if there is wifi on Castaway Cay (as some previous posters suggest that there is now), it will all be through the ship's wifi. So, it really will be the same internet that you have to buy for the sea day. The only difference I have noted is that the internet connection is usually faster while the ship is docked in ports than out at sea. So that would be the only advantage of doing internet based business on the Castaway Cay day as compared to the two sea days. I am not sure if you are aware of the fact that some time ago, DCL stopped charging per minute, but now offers data based packages for the internet. It was generally considered quite an improvement. This article is a good overview of how it works and what the prices are: http://disneycruiselineblog.com/2014/04/connectsea-internet-data-plans-review/
