Castaway Cay 5K

DD is making noises about running in the Nov 2015 WDW Wine-Dine Half Marathon, then cruising on the Dream two days later and running the Castaway Cay 5K. Does anyone know if there's a special medal for running both races back-to-back like that?

I believe that the CC 5k is really meant to be a totally fun experience. The "medal" is a plastic Mickey head. I have not seen and connection between the runs on Disney property and CC.

Right now they haven't added a special Castaway Challenge like they did for Marathon Weekend in January and PHM in February. If they do you will have to register for the challenge with RunDisney and then add a certain code to your DCL booking.

If you take a look at RunDisney's website for the January and February events you will see the Castaway Challenge listed.

Edited to add - the medal for January and February is stunning!! Look up the Castaway Inaugural and you will see it! We got to see it at the Expo for the ToT run and knew we had to have it!!

Thanks for the info. My niece ran in WDW and DLR half marathons and got the special medal for participating in both. That's also on DD's bucket list, but in the meantime, a WDW half marathon and CC 5K medal would look great in her collection.
