Castaway Cay 5K and morning excursions

Dh plans to run the 5K. He also would like to do the kayak and walking tour with DS2 but the only excursion time available is 9 a.m. What time does the run start?

It varies.

Some people are able to be the first off. Others aren't. Honestly I'm pretty sure that most of the time the CC 5Ks I've done start right around 9. You meet, you leave the ship, you walk to the start, you run. It's not a fast thing.

Agreed - right around 9. I've had my running watch with me the 3 times I have done this race, and the time stamps for the races starting are 8:53 (2013), 9:14 (2014) and 8:55 (2015).

He of course can still run the 5k course on his own later in the day, but will not receive the medal.

Looks like it will not be enough time. I'll keep checking and see if a later time becomes available.
