Hi! Has the CC 5K medal changed from 2015? Ours from last year has the date on it, so I would assume that at least the date at the top would change....

Anyone have a pic from 2016?

As in the pic that Shmoo linked to, unlike the 2015 medal the 2016 one doesn't have the year on itself, it's only on the ribbon.

There's no cost. You sign up onboard (check the Navigator for where).

I just did it last week on the Fantasy and that is what it looked like! No tshirt, but they are available for purchase on the island. You just sign up at either guest services or the port adventure. We were delayed getting into Castaway Cay so we actually ran it on board! 7.5 laps around the ship!

One review of this said the CMs aren't thrilled with walkers and would like everyone to finish in 40 minutes or less....I walk fairly fast and run a little but not much, and my DH really wants me to do this with him. Are we really going to get the stinkeye?

I've never had that experience. I walk/run, and it's hot in the Bahamas, and even though the course is shy of an actual 5K I'm still about 45 minutes into it. And there have always been TONS of people behind me.

Not sure what the problem was with the person that reviewed it.

When we have done the regular 5K I remember the Cast Member specifically saying take as long as you want, and if you want to walk and explore you can. She said they may not be there when you finish but they would leave medals in the store for anyone who finished after they were gone. I dont know if this has changed but that is what we were told.

Awesome. I can walk it in 45-50 minutes even if I don't run at all, but I am going to try and run a little. Even when I was young I could never run more than 1/4 mile without running out of air, and if it's hot I don't want to go crazy.
