Cast Members making memories

For anyone interested, here is something fun I started doing with my son several years ago. There is a site called http://www.whatwouldwaltdo.com/. Each year I buy a couple packs of the pins to give out to CM's who are doing a good job; especially if it's a CM that goes out of their way to interact with us. One year we gave one to a CM at the The Magic of Disney Animation tour one (my son does gifted/talented art and likes to go there) and I thought she was going to cry. It's a lot of fun to make someone's day; wouldn't it be nice to be a CM and do that every day :thumbsup2 :dance3: :goodvibes

What a great site! Thanks for posting that!

I think thats a great idea! What a wonderful way to teach your children to show and appreciate the kindness of others. We're going to do that this summer with our GD.

After reading everyone's stories, it made me think of what my DH said last summer--and it was true then and hopefully always will be. We ended up going through the Magic Kingdom turnstiles with our Motorhome when we arrived at Fort Wilderness. Of course, we were in the far left lane and we needed to be in the right lane for an immediate turn after the turnstiles. All of us girls were in a panic because our Disney vacation was going to be ruined before it got started. My DH calmly told us that this was Walt Disney World and they would make sure our vacation was magical and not a disaster. When it was our turn to go thru the turnstiles, they stopped all the traffic so we could cut across about 12 lanes of traffic to make our turn. My DH was right! Disney magic at its best!
:yay:

Our most memorable cast member moment happened during our honeymoon while we were at Typhoon Lagoon. DH and I were just floating along on the lazy river and a cast member was wandering around by the banks of the river singing "the Bear Necessities" into a megaphone. DH yells, "Thanks for the seranade...it's our honeymoon!" So the nice castmember starts singing some slow love song and follows along next to us as we float along. Then he met us at the next exit and gave us a coupon for free sundaes! He really made our day special!

We've had a number of special moments ....

1. Our family was selected to help 'turn out' the lights for the MK fireworks show. We were pulled up in front of the castle with a CM, asked a bunch of questions with a mic ...pretty neat stuff. The kids got a Magical Moments certificate.

2. My son has been selected to play Gaston in the Beauty and the Beast skit just to the right of castle. Very cute ...he was 4 at the time.

3. My kids have been selected 3 times over 2 years to take part in the Lion King show at Animal Kingdom. (this one is all about where you sit!!)

I'd love to beable to be "in" one of the parades as marshalls!! But I don't think I can manage that one!! :confused3
