Cast Member Sprinkled Us with Pixie Dust!

DH, DS, and I are annual passholders and had originally planned to use our GAD vouchers to enter Disneyland this past Saturday, a blockout day. To make a long story short, our plans changed and we were unable to go to the park early in the day so we decided to redeem our GAD vouchers for the special edition pin set.

We headed to the park on Saturday and right before we got to the ticket window, DH read the voucher again and noted that it said we had to redeem the voucher for the pin set inside DL or DCA. I apologized to the CM at the ticket window and explained that our plans had recently changed. He told me that we could return another day to redeem our vouchers for the pin set. I explained to him that we were from Kansas, were blocked out for the day, and would be headed home the next day. He told me not to worry and that he would figure something out. I guessed that he would be able to give us one of the one hour shopping passes so that we could enter the park to get our pins. While he was processing the vouchers, he told me that we were going to be very excited. When he was finished he gave us special tickets to redeem for the pin sets and then handed me three blockout day passes that were good for both parks! He was one magical CM!

We headed into DCA to redeem the vouchers for the pin sets. I'm very glad we did because they are so cool. Then later that evening we were able to get away and go back to the parks for one last very incredible evening of rides. While the fireworks and Fantasmic were going on, most of the rides were a walk on. We were also lucky enough to have a very nice young lady give us fastpasses for Space Mountain. It was truly a magical time and we managed to ride 8 of our favorite rides in less than two hours! It was a great way to end our trip! DLR truly is a place where magic hides around every corner and you just never know when a little Pixie Dust will find it's way to you!

Wow! That's awesome! See, I was thinking you were going to say he gave you the one-hour shopping pass as well. I had no idea he would give you 3 free Hoppers! That's amazing! And there was no reason - no earthquakes, no tornadoes, no major 'incidents' that would require CMs to want to give freebies to guests - other than that he was just being an incredibly generous, nice CM! That goes above and beyond the call of duty!

Yes, it was above and beyond! The fact that Disney allows their CMs to grant wishes and sprinkle Pixie Dust as they see fit is one of the things that sets them apart from all the rest. DS was also gifted with an Honorary Disneyland Citizen pin from another CM during our trip for a good deed that he did while we were in DCA. He is so proud of that pin and will always remember that someone acknowledged him for helping out. I can hardly wait for our next trip!

Sounds like a very magical day and one of the reasons that I LOVE Disneyland. So much so that I am trying to talk DH into moving down to So Cal so I can get a job there!! I wanna sprinkle magic like that!
