I'm not sure that every cruise has a CM rate .. when CM rates are released often it's just weeks before the cruise (like maybe 4-6 weeks) and is probably based on stateroom availability (so more than likely available on nonpeak sailings) .. my guess (and I'm not a CM nor do I have insider knowledge from any CMs) is that when there are FL resident rates on a cruise there are probably CM rates on that same cruise, but that's just my guess.
If you're a Disney cast member or a DCL crew member then you need to contact reservations for specific information, however DCL does have a "crew confirmed" rate for those that need to plan ahead for a specific time since some families have to schedule their vacation WAY in advance and need to know if they're going on a cruise or not.
Sorry, Dzneprincess, but the crew members have LOTS of friends, and mommies and daddies and brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles and cousins and nieces and nephews and more friends already.

Yes, DCL offers CM rates, but not for every cruise. It just like booking for their discounted resort room rates, be flexiable and your get onboard at at an unbelieveable rate. Their is an automated number you can call that will list the dates and sailings that are available. I have booked a CM cruise upto three months in advance and now you can not ony choose from "confirmed' space (meaning you won't get bumped off the cruise), but you can also sail in a specific catagory (meaning if you want a gtd balcony stateroom you can have it if you can pay for it). Hope this helps and remember that even CM rates have a penality if you have to cancel within a specific time frame, so make sure before you pay in full for your cruise that Disney will allow you the time off you need. Oh yeah and CM discounted space is extremly limited, so make sure when you call if you can...put a your requested date on a courtesty hold, cause when you call back to actually book it, it could be gone! I can't tel you how many times that has happened to me, until I learned my lesson and booked when I called or put it on hold.
Isn't "cast member" just direct employees of Disney? If that is the only people that would qualify for the discount then you would think they would know the info. from work? If anyone else can get these rates...I've gotta know how! maybe I'm just having a blonde moment??
Only Disney employess can get the CM rate and they are difficult to come by....it is not a public offering to anyone. Disney asks that CM's do not discuss their rates and discounts in a public forum like this. Check the cast portal or just call DCL directly and they will direct you to the CM line.
For more info you should sign up for the CM board on this site.
My daughter is a CM and cast member rates/availability don't happen all the time. They are listed on the CM website for upcoming cruises, with usually no more than a month's notice (usually less time than that) There are three tiers of pricing too -- so more popular times to cruise usually have higher rates for the CM's as well. There are also stipulations sometimes too that they can't have children with them between certain ages as shipboard quotas have been met already. Sometimes it's just the inner rooms that are available, sometimes it's all categories of rooms.
