I need some help. I am booking with my aunt who is a cast member. We want to go December 1-7. She has told me she will book for us in October bc that's when they can book with the best deals. My question is I really want a dining plan ( I will pay for this of corse) but I have heard that you can't get a dining plan when a CM books for you. This is so disappointing bc I am paying for the trip myself and my husband is the type to freak out over disney prices and I want our meals paid for before we get there to have a relaxing trip and enjoy our meals. Can anyone tell me if this is true?! I would ask my aunt but she is out of town for 2 weeks and I'm so curious!!! TIA!!!!

Im not sure if it changes but We booked with a cast member and I called disney and asked about adding the dining plan and they didn't think it was possible but checked and we could add it to our reservation! Im not sure if it changes though

Thanks so much! I figured I will call and try! It can't hurt to ask to add it on! I know we are lucky to have a cm discount so I'm not going to rock the boat. I would just love to have it all paid for before getting there! Thanks for your input!

You can get a meal plan when a cast member books for you. I just did it about a month ago. Our friend added the meal plan when she booked ours, but even if your aunt doesn't add it when she books, you will be able to go back and add it. Once she makes the reservation for you and they have all of her information and whatnot, you'll be able to change the reservation yourself and not need it go through the cast member, but the discount will still be applied to the changes. I'm one of the people who are always rethinking resort reservations, so I know from experience :). Also, apparently they offer cast member discounts on the meal plan from time to time. One of the people I spoke with when I was changing my reservation said to call back periodically to see if a discount was being offered for the meal plan. I think it's only likely to happen during the slower times when they need to fill up rooms with cast member's loved ones, but here's hoping! As a side note, if I call and don't get the response I was wanting, I usually hang up and call back. It seems like the reservation people all give different answers, so I try a couple times hoping to get the answer I want. it works sometime :)

Thank you so much! Very helpful!!! I was thinking the same thing about calling multiple times and asking different reservation CMs. I'm hoping for as much of a help with a discount we can get! It's our fist trip as a family and my two year olds first time going :)

Im pretty sure you can. We just got back a few weeks ago and my mom is a CM at Disneyland. We didn't do the dining plan but I know we looked into it.
