Cast Complimentary Tickets in December

So a friend of mine is a cast member and gave me a pair of tickets he wasn’t going to be using. We planned on going in December but after linking them to my account on the park reservations page it shows all of December unavailable. Anybody know if they plan on opening December for these passes or are they really booked solid? Thanks!

Ex CM here I found that when I went to book my trip for November the dates instantly disappeared. If I hadn't booked at 7am I wasn't able to get a reservation (I think this was mid July) Then at some point in August (September?) all of a sudden I could (and still can) book dates for November. I think at first they only let like idk 5% of available reservations be booked with the CM comp tickets but then when they realize they have lots of availability they open them back up. Hopefully this is the case for you
