Casitas or Cabanas?

Ok, so I am having a hard time deciding which area to chose to request at CSR(and I do know I am not guaranteed anything). I think the Casitas are beautiful, and the Cabanas look fun and playful. It is my husband and I, our 12 yr old daughter, 1yr old son, and 14 yr old niece. Those of you that have stayed, which area do you chose to request and why?

I request Cabanas building 8A, when I'm with DS. It's very close to Dig Site (main pool) and bus stop #4. Not a long walk to El Centro, maybe 5-7 minutes. If DS is not with me, we go Casitas building 4. It's closer to El Centro and bus stop #2. Casitas building 4 is also close to the Casitas quiet pool. But, when DS isn't with me, I rarely go swimming so being close to the pool isn't a big deal. He loves to swim at the Dig Site, so we try and get close to there if he's with.

I request Cabanas building 8A, when I'm with DS. It's very close to Dig Site (main pool) and bus stop #4.

We do the same! We've stayed in both the Casitas and Cabanas, and while both are great, we prefer the tropical feel of the Cabanas. Also, proximity to the pool is a big thing for us. We love bus stop 4 as well. 2 and 3 are also better than station 1, which tends to be more crowded and (usually) gets picked up last.

We get a preferred room in Casitas. Closer to the lounge.

We've stayed in Cabanas before, but my DH and DS kept saying I wished we could have stayed in Casitas, so when I booked this upcoming trip I requested Casitas, top floor.
Just because we liked the look of Castias we will probably end up in Ranchos (our least favorite).
