I have a new Disney Visa Card and will be cashing in the points. Is it true you can cash the points in at Magic Kingdom and DTD even if it's your first time transferring the points to dollars and you don't have a gift card for them to put the points onto? Thanks for your input.

I know you can do it at DTD. Not sure about MK.

You'll pick up a card at Guest Relations, then call to add your points. You have to show your Visa card and a photo ID to pick up a card.

So if I understand this correctly, I can go to any guest relations to get the card and then call to get the points loaded onto the card?

I don't think its _any_ guest relations, its particular ones. At DLR its Town Hall only (there might be one at Cali Adventure-I vaguely remember stopping to ask a question at the main guest relations on the left as you enter the park but we did not need a new card that trip).
Chase has a list of locations you can pick up the card on the their website, under the Rewards button its on the pdf file of the brochure.

Not sure of all the locations you can get the card but since I was the one who origionally asked the question, I wanted to report on my experience. As TAKitty reported you can get the card at guest relations at DTD. As Magix reported, you need your Visa card and your ID and you can get a card at the guest relations at DTD. I then called VISA and was able to have the points transferred to the card I had just picked up. I then was able to immediately use the card and the points to go to dinner at Earl of Sandwich. Thanks for all of the input. It worked just like you reported it would.

I used my rewards card in DTD / DW in the World of Disney store for a purchase of more than $50, & the cashier was nice enough to tell me to "charge" the purchase on my Disney Visa, so she could take the 10% off. Then, she took the balance that was due off my points card so I was able to use my points to pay for the balance of my purchase. So, more credit for my points, & my Visa bill was "paid" on the spot with my points so no bill was waiting for me when I got home! :goodvibes
Remember, you only get the 10% off for Visa purchases of $50 or more.

Great tip.
