Cashing Checks

Does anyone know if passengers can cash personal checks on Disney Magic? If so, what is the limit as to amount and number of checks. When I call DCL and ask I am told "I don't think so". When they check with someone else I am told each passenger is allowed to cash one personal check up to $100 per sailing. I just want to make sure I have correct information before deciding how much money to bring. Thanks!!
