Cash Vs. Points

Does anyone know what the discount is for DVC members at BWV if I decided not to do Points for the weekend. I am trying to compare the cost of renting points vs. paying cash for the same time period. Lets say I were to rent an additional 150 points (75 per night) from another member. It could cost anywhere from 1500 - 1800 depending on the cost per point. What would it cost for a two bedroom BWV preferred view during Magic Season?

CRO Seasons don't exactly match those for DVC, so it depends on when you go. According to Mousesavers, for 2007, during Regular Season: April 15 - July 7, October 4 - November 24, a 2BR at BWV is $770 rack rate plus tax and Peak Season: February 15 - April 14, is $975 rack rate plus tax.

Of course, discounts off rack rate may be available thru CRO depending on the time you book.

Also, if you rent points and have a reservation thru CRO, the 2 reservations may be referenced but not formally linked. As a result, you may have to change rooms as you switch from points to cash.

When available, the DVC member discount is 25% off the rack rate. Be sure to figure the tax into your cost expectations. Weekends are often available at all DVC resorts.
