Do you get these thru Member Services or Disney direct?

Want to add a Friday for cash at 1 bedroom, how do I do that?

Thanks for any help.

You can get a cash ressie by calling either Disney CRO/WDWTC or MS.

If you reserve through CRO, you will almost certainly have to check out and back in again between the points and cash portion of your stay. You can request to keep the same room, but it is not guaranteed. Sometimes CRO has good discounts for DVC rooms, so it pays to check. You should get full housekeeping for your cash stay when you reserve through CRO.

If you reserve through MS, you may be able to get the room you want for a 25% member cash discount. Depends on availability. If you are lucky enough to get a cash room through MS for either rack rate or the Member discount, you will not have to check out and in again between the points and cash portions of your stay. You will definitely stay in the same room and housekeeping will be the same as for a stay reserved entirely for points.

HTH.

Thank You Carol

I like my options with MS better, if no cash ressie available I'll have to use pts.

One more question, can I use my AP to get discount 1 bedroom? For Friday night that is?

I've done it both ways. Last year I got an AP discount for our last night, added to a points stay. I had to go to the front desk and get new keys and parking permit on Friday morning. We got full housekeeping on Friday, which was nice after 5 nights. AP rate was about $20 less. This year I did the member discount for our Saturday arrival, then points for the rest. We just got trash & towel on Tuesday. The AP rate this year was about the same as member discount, so I took the member discount, less hassle, didn't need full housekeeping on day 2. The way they have been pricing the AP rates as a flat $ amount off ($70 on the last release for deluxe), the member discount would probably be better for a 1 bedroom.
