Cash Reservations for DVC members

Has anyone made cash reservations for a DVC resort more than 12 months out? We did 2 years ago for 2000 and I just tried to get one for Vero for July 2002 and the CM siad I had to wait for the 7 month window. I kept repeating "cash" but she said that was the policy. Am I wrong? Did they change the policy?

That was member services that you must have called. You need to call CRO to make cash reservations..they can book further out too.

Cash reservation thru MS are not available more than 11 months ahead....and even then, only if there is no expectation that rooms will be reserved using points.

CRO may have some reservations more than 11 months ahead at a resort no yet sold out, but at this point in time - all DVC resorts are close enough to sell out that cash ressies thru CRO are not available more than 6 months ahead.

Sounds like you were fortunate 2 years ago!
