Cash Reservations 101

Although I've been a member for over 5 years I never stayed using a cash reservation. Could you stay on cash for a Fri or Sat night and have it be part of your regular ressie, so you don't have to move??? Can this help save $$ during a busy time like Christmas or Easter??? Thanks for the patience, I've tried to search but it doesn't seem to be working.

You can check with MS as far as adding on nights with a member cash discount. It will be subject to availability of course, but is 25% off rack rate. The DVC member must be staying in the room.

It can help stretch out your points, but not necessarily save $$ lol. You can have it linked to your points ressie and stay in the same villa as long as it is the same room type of course.

If you book cash nights through CRO, perhaps checking for an AP discount, your room is not guaranteed however, to be the same. You can request it, but at the very least will have to check out and in again at the front desk. You may have to move.

Thanks CarolAnn It would be for me so I'm a DVC member. I'll have to look into it. During premiere season Fri & Sat can be 100 pts!! So I thought it may save $$ to pay cash.

We have done a split stay - part with cash part with points. I actually liked staying in two different resorts --
We did AK once w/ our annual pass discount and then moved over to the BCV.

We also did WL once w/ annual pass discount and moved that time too.

I especially liked it when we did the split stay at AK --
