Hi - I've looked everywhere out of curiosity, but can't find the answer. Does anyone know approximately how much a Grand Villa at BLT would be per night if someone was paying cash (not even sure if they are available for cash reservations)?

Just to point out to others who may lurk, many of the room categories are almost never available for booking by CRO cash guests (ie. Grand Villas), making the rates pretty much pointless, except for humor.

You never know - I was able to book a GV during May within the 7 month window and then was able to rebook it a few weeks later when my dates changed to mid-April. I was shocked both times to not only have availability, but a fair amount of choice WRT dates. Now, part of that could be that both were in higher point seasons (though May isn't as bad as April).

Was this a cash or points reservation?

We have some friends who paid cash for a MK view GV at BLT last month during F&W. They wanted a 2BR, but DRC had none available. Their reservation was for 4 nights and included 4 day parkhoppers (4 adults and one 18mo old child) as well as the DDP. The total was $10,833 so the GV was around $2300 per day (tax included) and they found it well worth the cost.

WOW!! I followed the link and the cash rate for the BLT GV is listed at $2475 in Value season. I have a friend that purchased BLT so she can take her entire family for a week when she retires in 2012.

For grins I ran our 14 night stay over Christmas at AKV CL and it came to $11,000!! If they gave us 50% discount that would NOT be happening without our DVC!:wizard:

Im printing it out for DH:rotfl:

I think the $2475 is for Christmas Week and the Value is only $1755 per night, but either way it's still a chunk of change!

Where are you seeing a BLT grand villa for $2475 in value season? That link leads to a price of between $1600-$1800 for value dates in 2010 or 2011. For peak dates during the holidays it is closer to what you're saying - $2300-$2500ish.

Yes, I must have crossed my seasons. As Doc says, it's still a chunk of change!:rotfl:
