Help!

I want to go to the Disneyland Hotel in late April for three nights. Disney released a code for annual passholders yesterday and I called and reserved using that, but wanted to check what the rate would be if I used the DVC discount (which I thought was 25% off the regular rate?) instead.

I called Member Services and when I told them I wanted to make a cash reservation the lady I spoke with said they do not handle that and gave me the direct number for the DL resort.

I called that number and they said that they don't handle DVC discount reservations!

So---who do I call? I thought Member Services handled even cash reservations for DVC members using their discounts? Can someone please steer me in the right direction?

Thanks!

The DVC discount is only available on DVC villas, not regular Disney hotels. And the DVC discount isn't always available. DVC discount rooms have to be booked through Member services.

I'm also not sure that if you have a WDW annual pass that you can use it for a discount at Disneyland resorts. Disneyland has their own annual pass program, they are not interchangeable.

Thanks! I WAS confused about the villas vs. hotel thing. Thought it was a 25% discount on the "Disney Collection"--didn't realize it was just villas

I am a Disneyland annual passholder. (I live in Calif.)--still thinking about whether to get an annual pass for WDW when I take my first trip "home" in November--

Have a great day!

As a DVC member you'll get a $100 discount when you buy a new WDW Annual pass, so that's something to keep in mind, especially if you plan on returning to WDW in less than a year. The "break even" point for an AP at the DVC price vs. a Magic Your Way ticket with no expiration and park hopping is a little less than 7 days. But if you're only going once during the year you're better off getting a Magic Your Way park hopper that expires within 14 days, rather than getting an AP.
