Cash reservation at Aulani?

I am a DVC owner at OKW. I am out of points for this year and next due to a big family trip in June 2012. I would like to take my Mom back to Hawaii (she lived there in her early 20's) in either Nov 2012 or Jan 2013.

I would like to do a cash reservation at Aulani for a few nights staying in a studio. Does anyone know how much this would cost per night and would there be any discount for DVC members?

That sounds like a nice surprise for your mother.

You can price a vacation at Aulani on the Disney Parks website, under --- Price your Vacation. I doubt the system will allow you to make a reservation in 2013 yet, but you could check out the prices for 2012. http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/

As to the DVC discount, often discounts are available through MS and usually are 25% off for the other DVC resorts. I would expect it to be the same for Aulani. However, last month I was talking to a travel agent friend of friend and she mentioned that they were offering great deals at Aulani (like $150 per night) and if you booked 3 nights and getting one night free. I have no idea if that offer is still available, but I'd check with a travel agent to see what discounts are offered.

The Disney discount rates are often better than the DVC discounted rates.

As units are completed being built, Disney inventory will see a large increase and you can expect some good discounts. DVC units will be declared for sale based on sales demand. If the demand is down, it could take years for the DVC side to be completed.
