Cash reservation at Alunai.........

Does anyone know how far in advance you can make a cash reservation for DVC Hawaii??! Or what the rates are?

On the Aulani website, you can book a reservation. http://resorts.disney.go.com/aulani-hawaii-resort/

There is a notice that states:

Reservations at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, Ko Olina, Hawai'i, are currently available for check-in dates on or after August 29, 2011, up to and including December 31, 2011.

I checked out the dates for December 20 - 27, 2011. The cost was $474 per night for standard room for two adults, the other smaller rooms ran the following additional amount per night.

Island Gardens View Room +$200 †
Poolside Gardens View Room +$598 †
Partial Ocean View Room +$997 †
Ocean View Room +$1,197

That's about $1671 per night at Christmas next year for an ocean view cash room. Who knows what a DVC villa would cost. You could call MS and see.

Wow!!! Xmas in Hawaii would be amazing..........but not a reality with those prices!! ha! ha!

What are the peak/slower seasons in Hawaii? We are either looking at early Jan, March/April or July/August at the moment, depending on flight prices etc.

Unfortunately we can only book at 7 mnths so fingers crossed we can get something!!

I wonder what kind of discounts they will offer on those rooms. I doubt very many people would pay $1600 plus a night. Do they offer DVC or AP discounts there? What about free dining? Does anyone know what restaurants will be on site?

When I asked MS they had no cash reservations for Villas at this time, only for the hotel portion. And when I asked about the hotel portion they said there wasn't any discount for DVC members yet.

I would not expect a DVC discount to apply to the hotel portion. DVC cash night discounts apply to villas only.

Usually on the Disney website other options are presented with a total cost difference for all nights. For example, I believe that staying in an ocean view room would be $1197 more for the entire reservation, not $1197 per night.
