My family is staying at BCV in March and we decided to stay a day past our points and pay cash. I called MS knowing they couldn't reserve it but to ask them what it cost for a DVC member. They quoted me $169.00 for a one bedroom and told me to call central reservations to reserve. They told me it was $430.00 and that was the special rate. Who's right?

Your question has confused me :earseek: On our stay at OKW this past October, we paid $420 plus taxes for an extra night in a 2br. This was a DVC discounted rate which is always 25% if available. We made this ressie through MS.

When you reserve through CRO, you might get a better deal with AP codes or codes you have to wait for. Also, you might not be able to link the ressies an then you will have a greater risk of moving. I am wondering why MS cannot make the ressie?

Good luck (maybe someone else will answer better :D )

$169 for a 1 bedroom does not sound right, I think they made a mistake. March is peak season, rack rate is $525 plus tax. Even a standard BC room or a studio would be way more than that.

Member Services can only make points reservations. Member discount cash rooms actually come from the points pool of rooms, so they can also book those. The member discount rate should be $394 plus tax, if available (25% off).
