Cash Only accepted at TDS from 5/1- 5/6

Hi Everyone,

While the Disney Stores complete their transition from TCP to WDWC we will only be able to accept Cash in the Canadian stores only. This is due to a system upgrade. I just wanted to let you all know incase you were planning on visiting anyone of our stores this weekend.

May 1st we are officially Disney!! :cool1:

Wow, I hope this doesn't hurt their business too much.

I've seen how much people freak at my store (grocery store), when we lose debit/credit for an afternoon, I can't imagine what that would be like for a week. With the large purchases usually made at Disney Stores, I can see a lot of people just walking out. I hope they have very clear signage!

The company said that there will be signage and we will also, have a greeter at the front of the store, to let everyone know. We expect to lose about 30-40% of our buisness in the next 5 days. It stinks but it is necessary. It is a short incovenience.

We don't get too many huge purchases that I'm sure grocery stores get but on Thurday and Friday, guests primarily pay with debit or credit and on the weekend we see more cash. I'm sure there will be a lot of upset people but we have no control over the circumstance.
