Cash Cab. Have you seen this show?

This show is so funny! It's on the Discovery Channel and it's filmed in a cab in NYC. The people get in the cab thinking it's a normal cab (think Taxicab confessions) and give their destination. Then all these lights on the ceiling go off and they are told they are in Cash Cab. Throughout the duration of their trip they are asked trivia questions which accumulate a dollar amount. They get one street shout out where the cab will pull over and let them ask someone on the street and they get one mobile call for help.

If they get up to $200 and they get stopped at a red light they get a red light question which will get them an additional $250 if they get it right and there is no penalty if they don't get it. This question is a question with multiple answers in which they must get 4. They can yell out any answers they want and there is no penalty for wrong answers. They just have to get the 4 in the allotted time.

Overall, they also get 3 chances to get questions wrong, but on the 3rd wrong answer they are kicked out of the cab and back onto the street wherever they are. If they make it to their destination they are able to go for double or nothing with their winnings on a difficult video clue.

They have people state their destination before they tell them they are on Cash Cab so that they can't make up somewhere further for a chance to get more money. I just told my fiance that if you watched and were familiar with the show I would check every cab I got in to see if I could see the lights. Then I would say my destination was New Jersey

We just watched it between 6:00 and 7:00 and people were winning between $200-$950 just for a short cab ride! Plus, they don't have to pay the cab fare. I think it's such a cool show concept Just wondered if anyone else had seen it.

I've seen it. There was this couple, and they had a pretty long ride. They couldn't get any of them right. One question was "Name 4 animated movies released by pixar" They didn't know but 1. ToyStory. At that point I was yelling at the tv.

Sounds like a fun show. Unfortunately we don't get that channel. It reminds me of a show that I used to LOVE on WE. It was called Spend It Fast and the host would show up at someone's house and take them to a store for a spending spree. They would draw a money card. ie. If they drew $1500 they would have so much time to be within that amount of money. If they met their goal they got to keep everything they "bought". I really missed that show when they took it off the air.
