Cash at Resorts?

Assuming that everyone staying at All Star Music has a Magic Band, is the option of paying cash in the food court or gift shop still available? Some airports such as Newark are changing over to a cashless society so I am wondering what to expect. Thanks.

Cash is still an option anytime you buy something, anywhere on property. It's not as if you could actually trust the MB charging system to work reliably.

I had a CM at an ice cream cart write down the numbers inside my MB to pay for a Mickey Bar!

Not sure if youre being funny, but i'll clarify anyway.....I think the "I hope not" was their response regarding going cashless (because they prefer cash).

Im a strange duck, I'd love it if everything were cashless. I use debit for everything under the sun. So convenient. But alas, disney isnt cashless. So youre safe.

Well, obviously that's what RustManFan meant, since she made the comment about liking to use cash, but like I said, it's doesn't make sense with regards to the question that was asked, which was is the option of paying with cash still available. If the OP had asked, "Has Disney gone cashless?", then the answer of "I hope not" would've made sense.

Cash is really dirty if you think about it. I'm a definitely a snob here cause I believe debit cards are the only way to pay but magic bands are a wave of the future. Can't decide which is better but dirty money is not ours on most days.

I don't remember my original source but it was when I was researching a trip last spring. The restaurants are adopting a common table layout with Ipads to order and pay. When I actually went through, it was partially finished and when I bought a beer at a nearby bar, I couldn't use cash, only plastic. It may not be the entire airport but it is happening wuth the food and drinking places.
