Trying to figure out how the point chart works for booking a cruise when you also want to pay cash for some passengers. The point chart for Dream on Jun 2nd says 134 pts for category 7 cabin, and 86 pts for the 3rd passenger. Can you pay cash for the first 2 passengers and use 86 pts for the 3rd? If you can, can you still receive the $50 Visa shipboard credit and any travel agent credits? And who do you go through to book a cruise this way??

ps yes, I've read the pros/cons thread on using pts for cruises

If you are going to use points, it has to be for the first passenger. For the remaining passengers, you can do any combination you choose. Any cash portion is due in full when the reservation is made. If you use points, the entire reservation is made by DVC and is not eligible for any on board credits and does not qualify for 0% on the Disney Visa.

Also want to add that you have to pay the DVC negotiated cash rates, not what you see on the DCL site. These are usually higher than the current cash prices. You also have to pay an additional $95 fee for the privilege of having DVC make your ressie. As stated above, you aren't eligible for any discounts from DCL nor any TA's because DVC is your TA. You also have to pay in full ALL cash portions upon booking.
